Workplace vs Non Workplace - What's the difference?

Frequently asked questions regarding workplace vs. personal referrals and your earning potential.

FAQ: Commission & Lead Types

How do you define a "Workplace Email"?

A workplace email is any address associated with a unique company or organization domain (e.g., name@company.com, finance@startupname.org, or team@agency.net).

What is considered a "Personal Email"?

Standard emails are addresses from free, public service providers. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Gmail (@gmail.com)

  • Outlook/Hotmail (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com)

  • Yahoo (@yahoo.com)

  • iCloud/Me (@icloud.com)

  • Other regional public providers (e.g., @aol.com, @mail.ru).

Why is there a commission difference?

We prioritize workplace signups because they represent professional users, teams, and corporate departments. These accounts typically have higher retention rates and the potential for "seat expansion" (adding more team members), which allows us to offer you a higher 40% recurring commission.

When do I receive the $1 Workplace Bonus?

The $1 bonus is triggered the moment a user verifies their account using a unique workplace domain. This applies to both Lite (unpaid) and Paid plans.

Note: To ensure program integrity, bonuses are subject to our 30-day verification period to prevent "bot" or "spam" signups.

What happens if a user signs up with a Gmail account but later switches to a Company email?

Commission rates are locked in based on the initial signup method. We highly encourage you to frame your marketing copy toward professional users to ensure they use their work credentials from day one! If there is a change within the first 90 days of registering, please reach out to; blake@reclaim.ai.

Is the 40% commission recurring?

Yes! As long as the workplace referral remains a paying subscriber, you will receive 40% of their subscription fee every single month (or year).
